Cloudbreak

The Cloudbreak series began with an image of a cloud captured during a late-November sunset in 2016. My daughter, Evelyn (born just two-months prior), laughed in her stroller as I raked leaves in our front yard and was missing another day of amazing surf. A cloud that looked like a massive wave detonating over a reef, stirred my imagination and I began to find surf everywhere in the sky. This series was truly inspired by my daughter, as these images were captured with her growing quickly right alongside me, creating moments of beauty in the midst of a most chaotic time of life.
